Doug Young
September 3, 1955 - December 20, 2020
William Douglas Young, 65, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020, at Callie and John Rainey Hospice House.
In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra Faye Young.
He leaves behind his only son, Dylan, who paid tribute to his father below:
"I am sad to say that my Dad, William Douglas (Doug) Young, aka Kat Daddy, passed away yesterday. He is remembered by his charm, intellect, and insatiable musical talent. He loved natural bodies of water, specifically Tybee Island. Sunshine was his mandatory daily vitamin. His guitar playing skills dominate the memories of those who personally knew him. He had a legendary quality that will continue on.
Per his request, there will be no traditional memorial service. Rather, there will be a lakeside life celebration to be held when the weather is warmer. His body will be cremated and ashes spread at Tybee Island in the spring in a private event, also at a later date."
