Obituary for Doug Davis
The Family of William Douglas “Doug” Davis, Anderson SC, announces that on November 1, 2022, Doug has gone to be with his Lord and Savior.
Doug was born December 17, 1964, to William Clinton Davis and Dorothy Faye Saxon Davis in Anderson SC. He graduated from Faith Christian Academy in 1984. After graduating high school, Doug worked for Saylors and Walters Construction Company. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and cheering on his favorite team, the Clemson Tigers.
He is survived by his daughters: Katie Hunnings and her husband, Brad and their children, Emily and Luke of Williamston SC, and Brittany Rodriguez and her husband, Anthony and their children, Damian and Iris of Anderson SC, his father, William “W.C.” Davis and step-mother, Maureen of Anderson SC, and his sister Ann (Davis) Wilson and her husband, Marty of Simpsonville SC.
Doug was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Davis of Anderson SC
A visitation will be held at The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center at 1621 Pearman Dairy Rd. Anderson SC 29625 on November 4, 2022, from 12:00pm - 2:00pm, with the funeral to follow immediately at 2:00pm. The burial will follow at the New Silver Brook Cemetery.
The family would like to thank all the caregivers at Piedmont Post-Acute for their wonderful and loving care for the past 7 years and to Amedisys Hospice for their special care during his last weeks.
