Marty Chapman
William Martin “Marty” Chapman Jr., 56, of Anderson, passed away Friday, May 21, 2021 at the Rainey Hospice House surrounded by his children.
Born in Anderson on April 7, 1965, he was the son of the late William Martin Chapman Sr. and the late Bobbie Jo Minyard Chapman.
In 1993, Marty founded Paper Supply, Inc. currently located on the corner of Main and Greenville Streets in downtown Anderson. He garnered many friendships during his time as owner/operator of his company.
Marty was a devout Christian and a member of Newspring Church in Anderson. Marty enjoyed Saturdays spent in Death Valley cheering on the Clemson Tigers and quality time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Garrett Chapman, Caitlin Webb (Brandon), Chase Chapman (Amy), and Emma Grace Chapman (fiancé-Austin Bagwell), two granddaughters, Stella and Logan Webb, as well as a grandson due in October, Milo Chapman. He is also survived by his sister, Sherry Manning (Billy).
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 11:00am in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center 1621 Pearman Dairy Rd. Anderson, S.C. 29625. Reverend David Hall will officiate, and burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center prior to the funeral service from 9:30 till 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Lot Project PO Box 4181, Anderson, S.C. 29622.
The family will be at the home of his daughter, Caitlin Webb.
