Wayne Jack Lefor
November 29, 1938 - May 14, 2022

Wayne Jack Lefor, 83, of Anderson, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 14th, 2022, while at home with his family at his bedside.

Born in Lefor, North Dakota, he was the father of Jeff Lefor of Denver, Colorado and Carrie Drennon of Anderson, SC. He was a 1956 graduate of Lefor High School. In 1960 Wayne graduated from the University of North Dakota with a BA in Social Science and Geography. After graduation he moved to Denver, Colorado where he started his career with Jeppsen Map Company. His career also included top sales for Boise Cascade Office Supplies, financial planner for JK Harris and other entrepreneurial ventures.

He is survived by his son, Jeff Lefor (Sheila Lefor) of Denver, Colorado, his daughter, Carrie Drennon (Craig Drennon), of Anderson, SC, his sister, Bonnie (Lefor) Robertson (Ray Robertson), of Chicago, IL, his brother, Albert Lefor, of Divide, Montana, four grandchildren, Michelle McDonald (Matthew McDonald), James McKenzie, Brittany Grimm (Justin Grimm) Caleb Lefor and eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Debbie Lefor, of Larkspur, Colorado, and by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank T and Catherine T. Lefor of Lefor, North Dakota, and by a brother, Dan Lefor of Larkspur, Colorado.

Wayne loved spending time with his family and friends, playing tennis with his buddies at Cardinal Tennis Club, and after he retired, he enjoyed working for Chick-fil-A as Jon Holmes’ right hand man. He was always cheerful and thoughtful, and never met a stranger. His infectious smile warmed your heart and he always made you feel welcome and special.

The family will receive friends following a Celebration of Life Ceremony, at 2:00pm, on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, located at 1621 Pearman Dairy Road, Anderson, S.C. 29625.
