Obituary for Vidilla Stephens

(Vidilla Stephens) Vidilla Campbell Stephens, 84, wife of the late K. Stephens of Anderson, died Tuesday, March 2, 2021.

Born in Anderson on April 10, 1936, she was the only child of the late Clyde Ross Campbell and the late Agnes Louise Fuller Campbell.

Vidilla retired from Pratt Sosebee Used Cars as an administrative assistant and secretary. For over 70 years, Mrs. Stephens and her family have been members of Freedom Center, formerly known as First Assembly of God of Anderson where she served in various capacities over the years. At the time of her death, she was the oldest living member. She was once active in the Golden Keys Club and the Dystonia Association.

She is survived by her son, Ray Stephens (Kathy), daughter, Tammy Stephens McCurry, grandchildren, Kelley Simms (Kenny), Sarah Stephens (Neil Soldi), Ross Stephens (Courtney), and Caleb Stephens (Tori).

She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Aidan Soldi, C.J. Stephens and Anniston Simms.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sissy Stephens and her granddaughter, Rachel Stephens.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 2:00pm at Freedom Center (South) 3235 D.L. Drive, Anderson, S.C. 29624. Pastor Phil Sears will officiate. Burial will follow at a later date at South Lawn Memorial Gardens, Flat Rock Rd. in Starr.

The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the funeral service.

Social distancing is to be observed and face masks are required.
