Obituary for Tony Smith
Tony Lee Smith, 73, of Anderson, died Saturday, December 24, 2022, at his home.
Born in Anderson, on August 12, 1949, he was a son of the late Voyd Lee Smith, and the late Mary Lou Hayes Smith.
He retired from the sales industry, with numerous positions, including Bellsouth Yellow Pages. He also was in the S.C. National Guard during the Vietnam War. He loved music and was an avid audio electronic enthusiast.
He is survived by his sons, Scott Smith (Kelly), and Ryan Smith (Amy), grandsons, Sammy and Max Smith, and a brother, Mike Smith (Karen).
He is also survived by nieces: Charlene Wooten and Courtney Wright, and a brother-in-law, Charles Vickery.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Mary Jo Vickery.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 29, 2022, in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Rd., Anderson, S.C. 29625. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends, at The Standard, prior to the service, from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm.
The family will be at the home of his son, Scott and Kelly Smith.
