Tanya Nichelle Geer-Mackey, 51, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at her home.
Tanya was the daughter of the late James Patterson and the late Flora Christine Geer.
She is survived by her husband, James Mackey, her children; Courtney Geer, Nicorian Geer, Deverron Mattison, Courvoisier Greenlee, Brandise Raines and Talia Mackey, her grandchildren; Brelin-Marquis Dennis, Rylan Henderson, Ashtynn Peterson, Kaelin Bowie and Jayden Greenlee, her brothers; Leroy Mattison, Stanley Norris, Tyrone Norris and Calvin Norris, sisters; Harriett Hunt, Jackie Norris and Nalania Belton as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
She was a T.L. Hanna High School graduate and also attended Anderson University. Tanya absolutely loved fashion and always looked beautiful. She also loved cooking for her family while watching her favorite NFL team, the New England Patriots and NBA team, the San Antonio Spurs. She also had a great love of music.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Road, Anderson, SC 29625. Rev. Stanley Chamblee will officiate.
