Obituary for Susan Davis
Susan Elaine Davis, 72, of Anderson, SC, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 15, 2022, due to complications from cancer.
Susan was a daughter of the late George Davis and the late Elma Morse Davis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two of her older brothers, Vernon Davis and Thomas Davis.
She is survived by brothers: Allan Davis, David Davis and Richard Davis as well as her sister, Ruth Kidney and her brother-in-law, Mark Kidney. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and several great-great nieces and nephews.
After Susan retired from her administrative work at Monroe Community College in Rochester, NY, she relocated to Anderson with her sister and brother-in-law. She fell in love with the area and loved being closer to her brother, Richard. Susan had a smile for everyone she met.
Susan was a devout Christian and after her cancer diagnosis, she was bold in sharing her faith in Jesus Christ with everyone she met.
She worshipped at Gethsemane Baptist Temple in Starr, SC, and was a prayer warrior for Pastor Sam and her church family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gethsemane Baptist Temple.
