Shirley Burdette McCurry

Shirley Burdette McCurry, 85, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at her home.
Shirley was a daughter of the late David Burdette and the late Hazel Latham Burdette.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Mike Abercrombie, brothers, David L. Burdette, Jr., Joe Burdette and Archie Burdette as well as two sisters, Ann Slaton and Geraldine Griffis.
She is survived by her husband, Earl McCurry, son, Paul Edward Abercrombie, granddaughter, Tiffany Abercrombie, great-grandson, Matthew Lane Abercrombie, and brother, Kermit Burdette.
She was the owner of Honda of Anderson Motorcycle Dealership in the 1960’s as well as Hot Shot Cycles, Inc.
“Mimi” was known to be a firecracker and loved to flirt with the young fellas. Matthew, her great-grandson, was known as “her boy” and took Tiffany’s spot as the favorite.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at 2:00pm in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Road, Anderson, SC 29625. Rev. Sam Duncan will officiate. Burial will follow at Iva City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at 1:00pm in The Maple Room of The Standard.
