Obituary for Shirley Brannon
(Shirley Brannon) Shirley Tannery Brannon, 75, wife of the late Rudy Brannon, died Thursday, March 16, 2023, at her home in Anderson.
Born in Anderson, on May 3, 1947, she was a daughter of the late RB Tannery and the late Grace Jones Tannery.
Shirley retired as a loan officer with South Carolina National Bank and previously worked at Sears in the credit department. She was an active member of New Prospect Baptist Church in Anderson where she attended the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She was an avid flower gardener, and enjoyed any moment she could spend working in her yard.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberley Cartin (Timothy), grandson, Zachary Cartin, and her siblings; Peggy Light, Irene McClain (Larry), Raymond Tannery (Nancy), and Diane Foster.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am, on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel in Anderson. Rev. Tom Turner will officiate.
The family will speak to attendees, at the mausoleum chapel, following the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to New Prospect Baptist Church, 2503 Whitehall Rd., Anderson, S.C. 29625.
