Obituary for Sharon Rodgers
(Sharon Rodgers) Sharon Rose Rodgers, 73, of Anderson, died Thursday, June 16, 2022, at her home.
Born in Simpsonville, S.C., on May 17, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Pauline Rodgers.
She retired from Frigidaire and was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Temple in Starr, where she sang in the church choir.
She is survived by her sons, Mark Burden, and Matt Burden (Jessica), her grandchildren, Kaylee Gilstrap, and Summer, Seth, and Spencer Burden, and her great-grandson, Kayden Gilstrap.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Michelle Sargent (Steve).
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center 1621 Pearman Dairy Rd., Anderson, S.C. 29625. Rev. Sam Duncan will officiate, and a private burial will follow at Flat Rock Cemetery on Flat Rock Rd. in Starr.
The family will receive friends, at The Standard, prior to the service, from 12:00 – 1:00pm.
