Obituary for Sandra Snelgrove Friddle
Sandra Lee Snelgrove Friddle, 65, of Honea Path, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at Rainey Hospice House on the morning of November 2, 2022.
Sandra was predeceased by her father, Francis Addy Snelgrove, her mother, Margaret Ann Queen Snelgrove, and father-in-law, Frank E Friddle, Sr.
She is survived by her loving husband, Frank E Friddle, Jr., daughters Rachel Friddle and Rebecca Friddle Evans (Amy Evans), sister Delores Camp Stroud (Gregg), grandchildren James Johnson, Donnie Johnson, Jace Evans and Jordi Evans, stepmother, Jaye Snelgrove, mother-in-law, Sydney Friddle, and son-in-law Michael Johnson.
Sandra graduated from Clemson University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She later completed her master’s degree from Clemson University in nursing in 1997 and was in Sigma Theta Tau International. She was a two-time breast cancer survivor and volunteered countless hours at the Anderson Cancer Center and the Honea Path Free Clinic. Sandra was the director of Nursing Staff Development for many years at AnMed and mentored countless healthcare professionals. She was passionate about healthcare and her community. She loved her family, the outdoors, hunting, fishing and Clemson University.
She lived a full life and we are all blessed to have known her.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to the Honea Path Free Clinic and the Peggy Gardner Dean Nursing Excellence Fund at the AnMed Foundation 800 N. Fant St. Anderson, SC 29621.
A service will be held at Sandra’s home church, Trinity United Methodist of Honea Path Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at 2:00 pm. There will be a celebration of life immediately following at the home of Rachel Friddle, 12300 Belton-Honea Path Highway, Honea Path.
