Obituary for Roy Bryant
(Roy Bryant) Roy Houston Bryant, 78, husband of Janice Busby Bryant, of Anderson, died Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home.
Born in Anderson, on December 14, 1943, he was the son of the late Minor Lee Bryant and the late Doris Morton Bryant.
Roy served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. After he returned from service, he worked for UPS and retired after 35 years of service. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Anderson.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janice Busby Bryant, son, Chris Bryant (Amanda), grandchildren; Cassidy Bryant and Parker Bryant, and his sisters; Becky Cash (Jerry), Judy Varner, Vicky Hillyard (David), and Kathy Cochran (Bud).
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Tommy Varner.
A funeral service, with military honors, will be held at 2:00pm, on Monday, May 2, 2022, at the pavilion at M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veteran’s Cemetery, 140 Inway Dr., Anderson, S.C. 29621. Mike Hawkins will officiate.
