Obituary

(Ronnie Bryant) Ronald “Ronnie” Barry Bryant, 70, husband of Renee Callaham Bryant of Anderson, died Saturday, December 5, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born in Anderson on September 17, 1950, he was a son of the late Clarence Marvin Bryant and the late Lavinia Coleman Bryant Hodges.

Ronnie retired from Belton Industries after working for over 23 years at Clark-Schwebel in Anderson. He was an active member of Revive Church in Piedmont, SC. He loved golfing and was a member of several golf clubs around the upstate.

He is survived by his wife, Renee Callaham Bryant, daughter, Brittany Bryant Surratt (Brandon), grandchildren, Ava, Adylen and Bryant Surratt, sisters-in-law, Kathi Gray and Shirley Glenn (Ronnie) and brother-in-law, Mark Hoyle (Darlene).

In addition to his birth parents, he was preceded in death by his aunt and uncle, Grady and Evie “Babe” Acker, who helped raise him in their home, and his brother, Clarence Bryant Jr.

A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Monday, December 7, 2020 at 2:00pm in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center 1621 Pearman Dairy Rd. Anderson, SC 29625. Pastors Johnathan Elrod and Jeremy Sargent will officiate. A private family committal service will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center on Monday from 12:30pm until 2:00pm.

Social distancing is to be observed at all events and face masks are required.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Revive Church PO Box 628 Pelzer, SC 29669 or to the Hyco K-9 Fund PO Box 3775 Anderson, SC 29622.
