Roland Gerard Hajnal, age 65, of Sandy Springs, SC, died Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born in London, England, he was the son of the late Frank Hajnal, and the late Susan Hajnal.
Roland was a master electrician for over 30 years, and worked for McDonald Douglas. He enjoyed fishing, traveling to the beach, along with watching NASCAR and football. Roland was known for being his family’s weatherman, and always knew what the weather was going to be like for the current week. Roland was also a skilled handyman and could fix anything. He was loved by everyone who knew him, and would do anything to help others.
Roland is survived by his wife, Sherry Pitts, his daughters Haley and Carly, granddaughter, Hannah, and step-sons, Jason Pitts, and Stephen Barner. He is also survived by his son-in-law, Frank Russell
The family will be hosting a memorial service at 3:00pm, Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Crossway Community Church, 300 Circle Dr, Pendleton, SC 29670. Pastor C.W. Hicks will officiate.
