Roger Davenport
November 2, 1941 – July 29, 2022
Roger Lee Davenport, 80, husband of Peggy Erwin Davenport, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022, at his home.
Born November 2, 1941, he was the son of the late Tillman Davenport and the late Leora Cogburn Davenport.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Wayne Davenport, and his grandson, Joshua Duncan.
Roger was a loyal employee of Mayfair Mills for over 32 years. After retirement, he began work with the Town of Williamston and was loved by all.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Beverly Pack (Barry), grandchildren: Daniel Duncan, Kayla Crowder (RJ), Kristen Pack, Brandon Pack (Peden) & Starr Hauser (Marc) as well as his great-grandchildren: Hayden Duncan, Oliver Duncan & Collins Hauser. Also surviving are his sister, Darlene Hammond and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 1, 2022, from 11:00am – 1:00pm in The Maple Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Road, Anderson, SC 29625.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later time.
