Obituary for Rita Lynn McMahan
Rita Lynn McMahan, 71, wife of Mike McMahan of Iva, S.C., died Friday, February 10, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.
Born in Anderson, on May 18, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Charles Wade Bradberry and the late Orpha Lee Suttles Bradberry.
She retired from Michelin Tire Corporation after 20 years service. She was a member of Union Baptist Church in Iva, where she was the Acteens leader for several years. She enjoyed any moment she could spend with her grandchildren, and was “Mom” to many people in her community. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Mike McMahan, daughters, Sheila McGee (Philip), and Stephanie Stone (Daniel), and grandchildren, Clayton McGee, William Stone and Thomas Stone.
She is also survived by her siblings, Pam Chappelear, Ronnie Bradberry (Joyce), Dennis Bradberry, and Tony Bradberry (Kim), as well as several very special nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:30pm on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at Union Baptist Church, 703 Barnes Station Rd., Iva, S.C. 29655. Rev. Mike McMillion and Rev. Chase Cleveland will officiate. Burial will follow at Iva City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends, at the church, prior to the service, from 1:00pm – 2:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Union Baptist Church.
