Phyllis JoAnn Davis, age 77, of Anderson passed away at her home surrounded by loving family and friends on Tuesday, March 2, 2021.
She was an active church and choir member of Temple Baptist Church. JoAnn was gifted with a beautiful voice and showed her love through acts of service to her church, family, friends, and neighbors. JoAnn never met a stranger and was best known for her positivity, energy and wit. No matter where she was, she always brought a taste of home to those around her with her homemade biscuits, pound cake, and pancakes. JoAnn was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, niece, mother-in-law, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents Thelma and Albert Dove, brother Larry Dove, and daughter Angie James.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jesse Davis; daughters; Krystel Morris and her husband, Michael, Jennifer Davis and Angie's husband, Ricky James; 3 grandchildren, Jamie Rodgers and her husband, Jimmy, Jordan Hewitt and her husband, Ryan and Jesslyn Davis; 3 great-grandchildren Easton and Beau Rodgers and Keelyn Hewitt, sisters; Gaynelle Padgett and her late husband, Maxie, Rhonda Guerin and her husband, John and brother; Ronald Dove and his wife, Harriett.
Visitation will be held at Temple Baptist Church of Anderson, 2905 Standridge Road, at 12:30 PM on Thursday, March 4th with the funeral officiated by Rev. Steve Hurte directly following at 2:00 PM.
