June 10, 1937- May 20, 2023
Patsy Ledbetter Burts, age 85, wife of F. Michael “Mike” Burts, of 301 Burts Garage Road, went to her heavenly home, Saturday, May 20, 2023, at the Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Carnesville, GA on June 10, 1937, Patsy was the daughter of the late Floyd Gaines Ledbetter, and the late Ruby Carson Ledbetter. She was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Lee “Jimbo” Burts, a sister, Mary Lee Blanchard, and a brother Morris Ledbetter.
Patsy retired from bookkeeping for her husband’s auto machine shop. She was a lover of flowers, and especially took pride in her beautiful red rose bushes. She was affectionately called “Mama” by her husband, Mike.
In addition to her husband of 53 years, she is survived by two children, Felicia Burts, and Jerry Burts of Anderson, sisters, Margaret Sewell (Stewart) of Anderson, and Judy Salter of Thomaston, GA. She was known as “Grandma” to six grandchildren, Rachel Burts, Rebekah Thomas (Cody), Phillip Burts, Lydia Burts, Brentley Louis, and Isabella Burts, as well as two precious great-grandchildren, Anna Blaine, and Jackson, all of Anderson.
A graveside funeral will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, May 25, 2023, at New Silver Brook cemetery, 440 East Shockley Ferry Rd. Anderson, SC, 29624. Rev. Dale Cross will officiate.
