July 6, 1942 – December 3, 2022
Patricia Ann White, 80, of Anderson, went to be with the Lord on December 3, 2022.
Born on July 6, 1942, in Anderson, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Lee Junior Miller, Sr. and Gladys Ella Willis Miller.
Although she walked daily with Christ, she had been unable to attend church in person for some time due to declining health.
Patricia and her husband, Jimmy, grew up in the same neighborhood and married in 1959. She was a faithful, loving wife for 63 years. Pat and Jimmy served together in their church bus ministry at Homeland Park Church of God. Patricia was a gifted homemaker and provided everything her family needed. After her children left the home, she stayed busy with other endeavors such as becoming a private caregiver, offering compassionate care to all she encountered. Mrs. White also worked alongside her husband, Jimmy, at Richard Campbell Veteran’s Nursing Home for 10 years, where she truly cared for her patients and their families.
Patricia was a talented cook and fondly remembered for her banana pudding, macaroni and cheese, and specialty cakes. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, sewing, and crafting. She was a strong Godly influence for her family, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother. great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a caring woman who spent her life thinking about others. She always wanted the best for her family and loved them unconditionally.
Pat (“Tricia” to some) will be dearly missed by her family and by all who knew her, but we celebrate her life and we know she is now with Jesus.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 63 years Jimmy Alton White, children, Darlene Bowman (Demone), Paige Cochrane (Gordon), and Risa Crain (Philip); grandchildren, Andrew White, Brittanee Bennett, Tevin Bennett (Amber), Nicholas Ruhland (Alicia), Lindsay Ruhland, Daygan Owens, and Alex Cochrane and great-grandchildren Donta, Raven, Dottie, Sienna, Madeline, and Parker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Alton White, Jr.
The family will receive friends at The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Rd, Anderson, SC 29625 from noon until 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 8, 2022. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 2609 Highway 29 N, Anderson, SC 29621.
