Patricia Joan Smith Rodgers, 86, of Belton, SC, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on Monday, August 1, 2022, in Greenville, SC.
Born on January 10, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Perry J and Genevieve Smith.
Patricia or "Miss Pat" as many had come to know her was retired from the Belton Police Department where she served as a dispatcher for 36 years. She was well-loved by the many wonderful officers she worked with.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Broadus R. Rodgers, her beloved daughter, Patty, and her three sisters, Betty Rivers, Dolores Fleming & Ann O'Connor.
She is survived by her loving son, Broadus R. "Buddy" Rodgers, Jr. of Belton, her granddaughters, Genevieve Montjoy (Jason) of Laurens and Ashley Rodgers of Belton as well as four great-grandchildren that she cherished, Seth Montjoy, Kaitlyn Montjoy, Miles Montjoy & Colton Brewington to whom she was affectionately known as "Gee." She is also survived by her siblings, Perry Smith & Teresa Fox as well as many nieces and nephews that loved their "Aunt Pat."
