Obituary for Patricia Long (Daves)
(Patricia D. Long) Patricia Daves Long, 92, of Anderson, S.C., wife of the late N.H. “Jack” Long, died Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at NHC Healthcare of Anderson.
Born in Polkville, N.C., on August 31, 1930, she was a daughter of the late James Thomas Daves, and the late Lala Hamrick Daves.
She was a homemaker who loved quilting. She was a longtime resident of Spartanburg, S.C., and Grundy, VA until moving to Anderson, S.C., to be closer to her family. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her daughters, Myra Hines (J.B.), and Gay Greer (Charles Arnold), as well as her grandchildren; Chris Glenn (Matt), Patrick Evatt (Laura), and Johnathan Evatt (Leslie) and her great-grandchildren; Nicholas Clavenna, Caleb Evatt (fiancé Sarah Burns), Hannah Evatt, Rebekah (fiancé Mike Schmitt), and Jacob “Jake” Evatt.
She was the last surviving sibling of nine children.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Monday, October 10, 2022, at The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Rd., Anderson, S.C. 29625.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm, on Monday, October 10, 2022, at Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery, 746 Trinity Church Rd., Mooresboro, N.C. 28114.
