Michael (Mikey) Ervin Mayfield, 70, resident of Greenville, husband of Kathy Johnson Mayfield, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023, at St. Francis Downtown Hospital.

Born in Anderson, Michael was the son of the late Grady Mayfield and Carolyn Bryant Mayfield.

Up until his illness Mikey attended Gethsemane Baptist Church and was a past employee with Sumter Utilities and Gregory Electric.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are his three children, Michelle Fisher (David) of Anderson, Melita Mayfield of Anderson, Corey Mayfield of Anderson, his 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was also survived by his siblings, Nancy J. Dailey, Connie M. Sanders (Randy), Bobby D. Mayfield, and Grady E. Mayfield.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 10, 2023, inside the Tribute Room at The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center with Rev. Sam Duncan officiating.

The family will speak to friends and loved ones following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 E Calhoun Street, Anderson, SC, 29621.
