Michael Guy “Mike” Ashley, 64 years old of Anderson, SC, went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.
Born on January 13, 1958, in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late Jerry Wayne Ashley and the late Leisa Jhirmann Ashley.
Mike is survived by his wife of 38 years, Marilyn Darress Ashley; daughter, Kathryn Lois Ashley; son, Ryan Michael Ashley; brother, Stan Ashley (Sylvia); sisters, Thea Crosby (Fran) and Cheri Watson (Randy); nephews, Luke Ashley and Matthew Watson; and niece, Lindsey Ashley.
He was a 1976 graduate of Belton Honea Path High School and attended Erskine College prior to opening his own business, Ashley Wood Flooring Services, which was a trade he learned under the direction of his father.
He loved watching his favorite sports teams – Clemson Tigers, Atlanta Braves, Carolina Panthers – and enjoyed playing golf in his free time. Mike dedicated his life to his family – he embraced every sport and activity his children participated in from rock climbing to competitive swimming. His legacy will live on through his children.
