Melodye White succumbed to Alzheimer’s disease on October 31, 2022, with her family by her side. She was 68 years old. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother who touched many people's lives.
Born on October 8, 1954, in Galveston, Texas, she was the daughter of Carol (Lynch) and Arthur Pugh.
In addition to her parents, Melodye was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, James, and her brother Jeffery Pugh.
She is survived by her children, Angelica Willingham, Jamie Truesdale (Antione), and Matthew White (Kristine), her grandchildren, Amber Adams, Andrew “Bubba” Willingham (Summer), Aaron Willingham, Anthony Kay, Jessica Jones, Amari Cunningham, Jacqueline “Lexy” Jones, Joanna Truesdale, Abbye White, and Alston White, and twelve great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Road, Anderson, SC 29625.
The family will speak to guests following the service.
