Obituary for Maurice Brucke Sr.
Maurice Gary Brucke Sr., 70, of Starr, S.C., died Friday, August 26, 2022, in Anderson.
Born in Walhalla, S.C., on December 17, 1951, he was a son of the late Joe Melvin Brucke, and the late Mildred Louise Shead Brucke.
He was retired,but was previously the owner/operator of several businesses. He was a United States Marine Veteran and was of the Holiness Faith.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Vickie Ann Kelley Brucke, his children; Tracey Gilbert (Chris), Crissy Taylor (Hank), Melanie McCollum (Chris), Maurice Brucke Jr. (Jennifer), Anthony Brucke (Tiffany), A.J. Brucke, and Hunter Brucke, a grandson raised in the home.
He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren (expecting another soon), his brother, James Howard Brucke, his sister, Avis Stovall (Mack), and his brothers-in-law, Paul Kelley (Christine), and David Kelley (Tina).
A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Rd., Anderson, S.C. 29625. Rev. Chris Gilbert will officiate, and burial will follow on the family property in Starr.
The family will receive friends, at The Standard, prior to the service, from 1:30pm – 3:00pm.
