Mary Ann Caldwell
January 22, 1945 - April 19, 2022
Mary Ann Keith Caldwell, 77, of Anderson, SC, (formerly of Greenwood, SC and Fairfax, AL) went home to be with the Lord on April 19, 2022, after a brief stay at the Rainey Hospice House. Mary Ann courageously fought a nine-month battle with advanced lung cancer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Henry Keith and Doris Yarbrough Keith Siggers, of Fairfax, AL, and stepfather, Leo Siggers, of Shawmut, AL.
Mary Ann grew up in Valley, AL, where she met her husband, A.G. Caldwell, the love of her life.
She leaves behind her husband, A.G., of 59 years, their two children; Grenoble "Noble" Keith Caldwell of Greenwood, SC, and Grenelda "Geny" Caldwell Melton (Rhett) of Gastonia, NC, along with two grandsons; Justin Kyle Melton (Kesley) of Anderson, SC, Tyler Carl Melton of Gastonia, NC and her brother, Kenneth Keith (Marianne) of Chatsworth, GA.
Mary Ann graduated Valedictorian from Valley High School and with honors from Limestone College. She worked as Human Resource Manager at Capsugel until she retired. She also volunteered in various roles throughout the years as Assistant Treasurer at the Western Carolina Sailing Club, church counter, and past President of the Cedar Creek RV Owners Camping Club.
She was blessed with a full life and able to enjoy 20 years in retirement sailing, camping with her husband and pets, forming lifelong friendships on the road, and visiting her friends and family, especially the grandsons!
She was a member of Fair Play Presbyterian Church
A private service will be held at a later date.
