Marilyn June Thompson, 71, of Belton, died Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at her home.
Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Alec Thompson and Marie Thompson, and the youngest of eight children.
Marilyn was known for having a heart of gold, and she would give anything she could to make people happy. Marilyn loved animals and enjoyed being outdoors.
She is survived by her siblings, Joyce Thomas, Beverly Rhodes (Wendell), Jimmy Thompson, and Gerald Thompson (Sharon). She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Land, and Betty Loskoski, and her brother Ronnie Thompson.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm, Monday, August 8, 2022, in the Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Road, Anderson, SC, 29625. Rev. Dr. Wendell Rhodes will officiate.
The family will receive friends, in the Maple Room of The Standard, prior to the service, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.
