Marian M. Jackson
March 10, 1946 – April 13, 2023
Marian Jean Miles Jackson, 77, wife of Dan Jackson, of Anderson, SC, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at home with her loving husband by her side.
Born in Anderson on March 10, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Marion Eugene Miles and the late Ella Louise Willingham Miles.
Marian was a part of one of the founding families of their church, Christ Church EPC in Anderson, SC. She loved her church family. For many years, she led a program called “Take Them a Meal.” Her kindhearted and loving nature was often served through one of her delivered meals and desserts.
Her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, were also influenced by her loving nature through thoughtful and uplifting texts and cards that they will always cherish, along with memories of baking cookies in her kitchen and sharing lots of laughter.
Along with her husband of 56 years, she is survived by her children, Jeffrey Miles Jackson (Ansley) & Anna Jackson Johnson (Michael), her grandchildren, Cameron, Ashlyn & Alexa Jackson and Elyse & Amelia Johnson.
She is also survived by her siblings, Steve Miles & Debi Miles, her brother-in-law, Ronald K. Jackson, brother-in-law, RADM Grady L. Jackson, USN Ret (Linda), sister-in-law, Kathleen “Kitty” Jackson Lewis (Bill), and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Christ Church EPC, 3120 Hwy 81 N., Anderson, SC 29621. Rev. Nate Wolcott will officiate.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00 pm – 1:45 pm, at the church.
