Obituary for Margaret "Maggie" McLane
(Margaret “Maggie” McLane) Margaret Ann McLane, 71, of Anderson, died Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at AnMed Health Medical Center, in Anderson, S.C.
Her husband, James Herbert McLane, died 4 days, after her death, on November 20, 2022.
Born in Anderson, on August 29, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Johnny Leroy Barnes, and the late Helen Christine Chambers Barnes.
She was retired from environmental services in the healthcare industry.
She is survived by her children, Christopher Barnett Sr., Kenneth Ray Barnett, Jaime LeeAnn McLane, grandchildren; Maggie McLane, Kash Reece, Brelynn Hiott, Ashley Medlin, Kristina Medlin, Nicholas Ashley, Katie Barnett Vickery, and Christopher Barnett Jr.
She is also survived by her siblings, Patricia Barnes Foster (Johny), Pamela Barnes Richey, and Bud Barnes (Paula).
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sheri Medlin, her daughter-in-law, Michelle Kirby, and her siblings, Charles Chambers, Johnnie Barnes Todd, and Marshall “Cotton” Barnes.
A joint funeral service for Herb and Maggie McLane will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at 12:00pm, at The Iva First Assembly of God, 1205 Elberton Hwy, Iva, S.C. 29655. Rev. Helen Sutherland will officiate, and entombment of ashes will follow at 2:00pm, at M.J “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
The family will receive friends, at the church, prior to the service, from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm.
