Obituary for Linda Nix Vickery
Linda Vickery
February 7, 1947- February 9, 2023
Linda Nix Vickery, age 76, of Anderson, SC, went to meet her Heavenly Father on February 9, 2023, peacefully surrounded by her family at the Rainy Hospice House.
She was born February 7, 1947, to the late George “Ikey”, and the late Frances Nix.
Linda retired from Asheville Gastroenterology Associates in Asheville, NC, and also served her community as an EMT in Candler, NC. She loved her dog Ginger and was an avid family historian.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 59 and a half years, Harold Ronald Vickery, and her two sons, Wayne (Sherry) Vickery, and Keith (Amie) Vickery; her two sisters, Libby (Jimmy) Thompson, and Carol (Danny) White, all of Anderson, SC.
She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Michelle Smith, of Warrenton, VA, Jayme (Nicole) Vickery, of Six Mile, SC, Kirk Smith, Brady (Becca) Vickery, Ainsley Vickery, and Caelyn Vickery, of Anderson, SC. She was blessed with three great-grandsons: Shawn, Wesson, and Bowen. In addition, she leaves behind a multitude of nieces and nephews that she loved with all her heart.
The family would like to give a special thanks to those who took care of her at Hospice of the Upstate/ Rainey Hospice House.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, February 13, 2023, in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Road, Anderson, 29625, and burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends, at The Standard, prior to the service from 10:00am until 11:00am
The family will be at the home of her sister, Libby Thompson.
