Obituary for Linda Snyder

(Linda Snyder) Linda Hales Snyder, 75, wife of the late Bob Snyder, of Anderson, died Thursday, May 26, 2022, at her home.

Born in Red Springs, N.C., on August 13, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Curtis Edward Hales Sr., and the late Lena Smith Hales.

Linda grew up on a farm in Red Springs, N.C. with her five siblings. After high school, she worked with the school district in North Carolina. She married her husband, Bob, in 1985, and then moved to Anderson, S.C., for his work. She started her career in Anderson at Patrick B. Harris Psychiatric Hospital, where she worked until retirement. She and her husband were active members of New Prospect Baptist Church, where they both served in many areas of church life. She and Bob were faithful volunteers with the Gideons International Prison Ministry, ministering to the physical and spiritual needs of hundreds of inmates throughout the state of South Carolina.

She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her children; Dennis Teasley, Robby Snyder (Karen), Jeffrey Snyder, and Karen Snyder, grandchildren; Miles and Sophia Teasley, Kaci, Reece, Nick and Gracie Snyder, and Madison Marion.

She is also survived by her siblings; Curtis Hales Jr. (Minnie), Barbara Hales Kinlaw, Grady Hales (Pat), and Jerry Hales (Sharon).

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Virginia Long.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at New Prospect Baptist Church 2503 Whitehall Rd., Anderson, S.C. 29625. Rev. Bobby Watson will officiate.

The family will receive friends, at the church, prior to the service, from 11:00am - 12:00pm.
