Laura M. Tate
August 26, 1968 – May 12, 2023

Laura Michelle Massingale Tate, 54, of Williamston, SC, went to her heavenly home on Friday, May 12, 2023.

Born on August 26, 1968, she was a daughter of Ken Massingale (Tina) and the late Carole Jaskot.

Laura was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mack & Clovie Massingale of Sunset, SC and James & Edna Jones of FL; mother, Carole Jaskot and stepson, Eddie Tate Jr of Williamston.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of 31 years, Eddie Tate, son, Zachary (Lindsay) of Belton, grandson, Odin, step-granddaughter, Aliyanna, sister, Angel Massingale (Maury “MB” Bowen) and half-siblings, Michael Jaskot (Briana) and Kimberly Jaskot (Chau Tran) of CA, nephews Trey Tate (Melissa), Landon Tate and Everett Tran, nieces Mary Catherine Tate, Sara Calhoun (Heath) and Irene Tate.

Laura was a proud veteran, serving in the United States Marine Corps. After her service, she worked at the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office as a dispatcher then on to become a deputy sheriff. Laura retired from the United States Postal Service as a mail handler.

A lover of all things Bulldog, she lived and loved her bulldogs… from the USMC bulldog mascot to her favorite football team, the University of Georgia Bulldogs. Laura raised, bred and showed bulldogs under the kennel name Taterz Bulldogs. The highlight of her last years was being “MiMi” to her grandson, Odin.

The family will meet privately to celebrate her life.
