Obituary for Kim Sloan
(Kim Sloan) Kimberly Rena Sloan, 63, wife of Dan Sloan, died Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.
Born in Clearwater, Florida on July 7, 1957, she was a daughter of the late Larry Dan Gambrell and Donna Janet Kirchner Gambrell.
Kim retired from the insurance industry and had worked as the office manager for several Anderson County insurance agencies and was a member of Austin Road Baptist Church in Honea Path, S.C.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Dan Sloan, daughters, Heidi Gilmer (Preston), and Heather Helms (Mike), grandchildren, Jacob Gilmer (fiancé Lacey Carruth), Caleb Gilmer, Connor Gilmer, Tyler Helms and Avery Helms.
She is also survived by her sister, Debbie Brock (Donald) and her brother-in-law, Johnny Jacks.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Kellie Jacks and Cheryl Gambrell.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 3:00pm at Austin Road Baptist Church in Honea Path, SC. Pastor Billy Slatten will officiate and burial will follow at The Garden of Memories in Belton.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening, January 10, 2021 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm in The Maple Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center 1621 Pearman Dairy Rd. Anderson, SC 29625
