Kenneth Thrasher
March 1, 1955 – April 19, 2023
Kenneth Norman Thrasher, 68, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Rainey Hospice House.
Born March 1, 1955, he was a son of the late Jack Thrasher and the late Mildred Kiger Thrasher.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jackie Thrasher & Richard Thrasher.
Kenneth was a loyal employee and worked as an electrician for C&W Electric for over 42 years. During his younger years, he enjoyed racing cars and riding motorcycles. He was also a member of Tri-City Rod & Custom, a local car club.
Known as the “fun uncle” for his sense of humor and being the one that everyone wanted to hang out with, he most enjoyed his weekends at Broadway Lake with his family and friends at his home that he named “Biltmore on Broadway.”
Those that are left behind to miss him include his beloved companion of 12 years, Teresa Freeman; his son, Chris Thrasher (Emily); stepson, Jody Davis (Jewel), two grandchildren; siblings, Judy Freeman (Dan), Wanda Ginn & Danny Thrasher (Connie), sisters-in-law, Brenda Thrasher and Phyllis Thrasher, and several nieces and nephews as well as Chris’ mother, Lynn Thrasher.
A funeral service will be held at 11:45 am on Friday, April 21, 2023, in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Road, Anderson, SC 29625. Rev. Sam Duncan will officiate and burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 11:00 am in The Maple Room of The Standard.
