Obituary for Kathy Murray
Kathleen "Kathy" Murray of Donald’s, SC, formally of NE Ohio, passed away peacefully after a short illness, on June 7, 2022, aged 83, a much loved wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.
Kathy was a devout Catholic and was involved in her local church, no matter where she lived. She was a church organist and a member of the Ladies Rotary Club. Kathy was also a Cub Scout leader, Girl Scout leader and 4-H club advisor. She was an active member of the Ashtabula County Jr Fair Office and participated as a County Fair judge on numerous occasions for many years. After her retirement from the Jr Fair Office, she assisted the Sr Fair Office on occassions. She also volunteered at both the Ashtabula County Birth Care program and Home Safe program.
Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Murray, and two brothers, William Grimes and James Grimes.
She is survived by her ten children: Karen Pacholke (Duane), Kathryn Maple (Rodger), Kristine Harju (Douglas), Kevin Clark (Lucille), Kimberly Alsip (James), Kenneth Clark (Hayley), Kelly Cartner (Nolan), Kyle Clark (Kelly), Kerry Kucera (Clint), Keith Clark (Renee), 28 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
A celebration of Life for Kathy will take place at the Morgan Hose Volunteer Fire Department in Rock Creek, Ohio after an internment at Holy Cross Cemetary in Brook Park, Ohio on August 27, 2022.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that a donation in the memory of Kathy & Tom Murray for a yearly scholarship in their memory to be presented through the 4-H Foundation of Ashtabula County. Donations/checks should be made payable to Kathy Maple at 2279 Allen-Comp Rd, Dorset, Ohio 44032.
