Obituary for Joe Ursone
(Joe Ursone) Joseph Dominick Ursone, 67, husband of Kathy Campbell Ursone of Anderson, died Sunday, March 14, 2021 at AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson, S.C.
Born in Camden, N.J. on September 20, 1953, he was a son of the late Rocco Ursone and the late Elizabeth Forte Ursone.
Joe received his bachelor’s degree in logistics from Penn State University and then served his country in the U.S. Army during Desert Storm. He retired as a logistics manager at Uniflex, now known as Kadant. He was a member of the W.A Hudgens American Legion Post #14 and was proud to be a member of the Penn State Alumni Association.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Campbell Ursone, children, Joseph Ursone (Sharon), Patrick Ursone, Jennifer Bairos (Alan), Sean Campbell (Caroline), and Evan Campbell, grandchildren, Joey Ursone, Christian Shew, Elizabeth Zier, Abby Ursone and Sadie Campbell and a great-granddaughter, Dorothy Elizabeth Shew.
He is also survived by his siblings, Frank Ursone (Laura Gene) and Linda Ursone and the family is expecting another great-grandchild in the near future.
Joe and his wife were active members of The Carpenters Church where his funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 2:00pm. The Carpenters Church will be livestreaming the service on their Facebook page for those unable to attend. The church is located at 1610 Pearman Dairy Rd. Anderson, S.C. 29625. Pastor Kendall Hicks will officiate, and military honors will be rendered. Burial will follow at a later date at M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson.
The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 12:30 – 2:00pm.
Social distancing is to be observed and face masks are recommended.
