John Harrison
August 22, 1943 - March 27, 2023

John Gordon Harrison, 79, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023.

Born on August 22, 1943 in Oglethorpe, GA, he was the son of the late Horace and Agnes Harrison of East Point Georgia.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife, Dianne "Micki Mickel Harrison, and his grandson, Benjamin Tate Krilla.

John was a man of many talents and hobbies. He retired from Delta Airlines after many decades of devotion. John never had a call in sick day in his entire employment. He loved to photograph architectural construction, wildlife and of his family in everyday life and on special occasions in their lives.

Our father was an avid outdoorsman. His second state of residence was in Alaska, where he went every summer since he became an adult, He was a big game hunter and photographer. Later he stopped hunting and was an avid fisherman.

John loved his family and his friends dearly. He was always there to listen to our troubles, participate in all of his childrens youth activities and as they grew into adulthood he was there with unwavering support. His best friend and biggest supporter was his sister, Connie Lineberry. His children are full of love and gratitude for her constant devotion, time, love and endless ways of support.

His other best friend that was a constant by his side is Yogi. He was more than just a dog to our father and must be mentioned.

John loved his family immensely and his grandchildren were his pride and joy, Our father loved one woman his entire life. He was never the same after the loss of the love of this LIFE.

John is survived by his son, Alston Harrison of Elberton, GA , and his daughter Michel Krilla of Dacula, GA, his granddaughter, known as "Squirt 1" Dyana Krilla of Fayetteville, GA as well as three great-grandchildren, Kailyn Krilla of Fayetteville,GA, Paxton Lyons Krilla of Newnan GA, and Adelynn Krilla of Palmetto, GA.

In addition are his surviving siblings, Wilbur Harrison of Mableton GA, Connie Harrison Lineberry (Roy) of Dublin, VA, nieces, Cynthia Clemmons of Radford, VA and her two children as well as Kimberly McCuiston of Knoxville, TN and her two children.

The family would like to acknowledge his very special friends, Dwayne Spearman and Bobby & Leona Cove for their friendship, love and support shown to John. Thank you so very much for all the unmentioned countless times you were there for our Father. Our father was a very private and humble man in life as well in death. There will not be a service or memorable event.
