“Who was Mike? Mike was a husband that loved his wife beyond words. A father that always taught lessons the hard way, but had a heart of gold for his son. A grandfather that would drop anything for his three grandchildren. Mike was a man that worked his whole life night and day. A farmer never has an easy day, it’s long hours with no breaks. It’s an achy body, calloused hands. It’s working in the sun and rain, dirt under your nails, hay in your boots. It’s the joy a great harvest brings. Early morning and late night keeping the dairy up and running. It’s a goat in the truck along for the ride to pick up your son, it’s a pig in your sons truck riding around. This is a way of life not a job. It’s the pride Mike held in his heart for his family and what he’s taught them, that will live own. “- Katrina McLees
