Obituary for John Collins
Williamston, SC John Collins, 78, husband of Irene Sizemore Collins, of the Piercetown Community, died Thursday, October 28, 2020 at AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson, SC.
Born in Bell County, KY on May 13, 1942, he was a son of the late Charlie Collins and the late Laura Bell Maiden Collins.
He was a retired diesel mechanic and had worked for the Chevrolet assembly plant. He enjoyed tinkering with his computer and spending time in his backyard shop.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Sizemore Collins, son, Dennis Collins (Teresa), daughter, Judy Collins, grandchildren, Daniel Collins, Bethany Nayalyk (Eric), Emily Langdon, Kaitlyn Reyer (Sammy), Grant Gray and Jared Gray and 8 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his siblings, Minnie Collins Carmark, Charlie Collins, Gracie Collins Brooks, and Bobby Joe Collins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Cecil Collins, Bill Collins, Evelyn Collins Hickey and Elmer “Jim” Collins.
The family will have a private viewing followed by cremation.
