March 4, 1946- March 5, 2023
Jimmie Timms Knight, age 77, of Williamston, SC, died Sunday, March 5, 2023 at the McCall Hospice House of Greenville.
Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late William Lovis Timms, and the late Vera Whitfield Timms.
Jimmie was a member of Eureka Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and making long lasting memories with them. She also liked traveling and shopping. Jimmie never met a stranger and was loved by everyone she met. She was known around town affectionately as “Mrs. Jimmie”.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, William Matthew Knight, their son, William “Will” Lovis Knight, and his wife, Ivey McGregor Knight. Jimmie is also survived by her granddaughter, Willow Michelle Knight. She also is leaving behind several beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jimmie was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty W. Patterson, Mary Ann Harbin, and brother, William Douglas Timms.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Friday, March 10, 2023, at The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Road, Anderson, SC, 29625. Dr, Robert Dickard will officiate.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00am until 11am, in the Maple Room at The Standard.
Burial will take place at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
Flowers will be accepted.
