Obituary for Jerry Lee Buchanan
Jerry Lee Buchanan, 65, of Iva, SC, died Friday, December 4, 2020 at AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson, SC.
Born in Royston, Ga on July 1, 1955, he was a son of the late Curtis Ross Buchanan and the late Martha Louise Woodard Buchanan.
Jerry was a 1973 graduate of Crescent High School in Iva and was retired from BASF/Honeywell/Shaw Industries after many years of service. He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Temple in Starr, SC and loved playing golf as often as he could.
He is survived by his siblings, David Buchanan, James Clark Buchanan (Norma), Kate Burdette (Wendell), Faye Bruce (Pete), Ann Davis (Eddy) and his twin brother, Terry Buchanan (Debbie).
He is also survived by many nieces an nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at 3:00pm at Gethsemane Baptist Temple in Starr, SC. Rev. Sam Duncan will officiate.
The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary on Sunday from 2:00pm – 3:00pm.
Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 12:00pm at Evitt Cemetery in Cashiers, NC.
Social distancing is to be observed at all events, and face masks are required.
