Born in Anderson, on June 15, 1965, he was a son of the late Hanford Waco “Hank” Burdette, and Linda Hanks Burdette.

At the church, he served as deacon, usher, Sunday School teacher and youth director, among many other areas of church life. He loved to keep busy and was the jack of all trades, especially for the needs of his family and friends.

He was an avid South Carolina Gamecock fan and loved any outdoor activity, especially hunting and fishing.

For nearly 30 years he was employed with AFCO in Anderson, S.C., and was currently an Apprenticeship and Training Manager with Haering Precision Machining USA, in Lavonia, GA, where he mentored many apprentices within the industry.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lynne Chambers Burdette, daughters; Kaela Loftis (Johnny), and Jennifer McCoy, son, Phillip Burdette, grandchildren; Kayslee Loftis and Cayson McCoy, his siblings; Jack Burdette, Jeff Burdette (Judy), and Sherri Burriss (Robbie), and his mother-in-law, Alice Mabrey.

He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Waymon and Brenda Hanks and Hugh and Peggy Isbell, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, Hanford Waco “Hank” Burdette, as well as his brother, Greg Burdette.

A funeral, celebrating his life, will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, November 14, 2022, at Lowndesville Baptist Church, 464 Main St., Iva, S.C. (Lowndesville Community). Rev. Dr. Fred Griggs will officiate, and burial will follow at Iva City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4:00pm – 6:00pm on Sunday, November 13, 2022, in The Maple Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Rd., Anderson, S.C. 29625.
