Obituary for Jenny Lathrop
Jennifer Leigh “Jenny” Lathrop, a child of God, went to her eternal home to meet her heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Jenny was a loyal and faithful member of New Life Fellowship Church and served as a teacher in the AWANAS ministry.
Born in Greenville County on December 18, 1969, she is a daughter of Thomas William “Tom” Ackerman and Linda Faye Ackerman.
Jenny received an associate degree from Greenville Technical College in Dental Hygiene. Jenny loved her Lord and Savior and had a deep desire to serve the Lord, and always knew that God has His arms around her.
Surviving is her husband, Ernest Wyman “Ernie” Lathrop, sons Kendall Chase Lathrop, Joshua Allen Lathrop (Brooke) & Patrick Wyman Lathrop, grandchildren Brayden Austin Lathrop & Mason Robert Lathrop, sister Lori Westbrooks (Tony) and brother Tommy Ackerman.
Jenny was preceded in death by sons Thomas Ryan Lathrop & Christopher Bretton Lathrop and daughter Robyn Ashleigh Lathrop.
A celebration of life will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at New Life Fellowship of Anderson with Rev. David Walters officiating.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm prior to and also following the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to www.newlifeanderson.net. Upon entering the site, there will be a link available on the homepage in remembrance of Jenny Lathrop. All donations will go towards a new playground for the children of New Life Fellowship in honor of Jenny.
