Obituary for Jane Davis
Jane Davis, 76, wife of Dan Davis, of Anderson, died Sunday, July 3, 2022, at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.
Born in Pickens, S.C., on September 19, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Willie Ray Stewart, and the late Irene Anthony Stewart.
Jane retired from American Equipment Company Inc. (AMECO), after 26 years of service in the human resources division. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Anderson for over 50 years. She was active on several committees of the church and sang in the sanctuary choir.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Dan Davis, her children; Jerry Harrell (Stephanie), Kevin Harrell, Holly Nichleach, Kathy Foley (Richard), and Jonathan Davis (Sarah), her sister, Rosemary Parker (Kenneth), her sister-in-law, Vickie Stewart, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Dickie Ray Stewart.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, July 8, 2022, at M.J “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery, 140 Inway Dr., Anderson, S.C., 29621. Dr. Don Cox and Rev. Bob Marcaurelle will officiate.
The family will receive friends, at The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, prior to the funeral, from 10:30am – 12:15pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
