Obituary for Marty Worley

(Marty Worley) James Marty Worley, 44, of Anderson, S.C. won his victory on January 12, 2021.

Marty was a loving husband to April Lowe Worley and an amazing daddy to Brianna Nicole Worley and Jd Worley. He was a loyal friend and co-worker to many. He was a faithful son to Betty and Carl Worley.

He was a volunteer fireman at Flat Rock Bowen Fire Department. He began his volunteer fireman service at Homeland Park Fire Department. He served his community for a total of 31 years. He was employed at Owens Corning Fiberglas. Marty loved to play cornhole and spend any time he could with his family. Marty was a simple man with a heart of gold. He loved his family and always put others before himself.

Marty fought a hard battle, finished his course, and kept the faith. He will be greatly missed but he received his crown of righteousness for all his good works.

Mr. Worley is survived by his wife, April Lowe Worley; daughter, Brianna Nicole Worley; son, Jd Worley; father and mother, Carl and Betty Worley; brother, Joey Worley; aunt and uncle, David and Connie Bennett; many more aunts and uncles; nephews, Joseph and Dillon Worley; and many long-time friends.

The family will receive friends in the sanctuary of Homeland Park Baptist Church on Thursday evening, January 14, 2021 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 2:00pm at Homeland Park Baptist Church. Rev. Phil Sears and Rev. James Strickland will officiate, and burial will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery with fireman honors.

Social distancing is to be observed and face masks are required at all events.

The family will be at the home of his parents, Carl and Betty Worley 516 Visage Dr. Anderson, SC 29626.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children 950 W. Farris Rd. Greenville, S.C. 29605.
