Obituary for Jim Stidham

(Jim Stidham) James “Jim” Henry Stidham, 82, husband of Alma “Lucky” Stidham, of Anderson, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Born in Red House, W.V. on April 20, 1938, he was a son of the late Lester Hubert Stidham Sr., and the late Lillie Mabel Adams Stidham.

Jim retired from Grady’s Great Outdoors where he was well known for his vast knowledge of knives and made many friends of the customers that he helped in the knife department. He was also a faithful Christian who was never afraid to share his faith with others. He and his wife are members of Varennes Heights Baptist Church where he formerly served as a deacon and usher.

He is survived by his wife, Alma “Lucky” Stidham, children, Misty Crain (Rev. Troy Crain), Terra Brown (Gerald), James “Jim” Stidham (Frances), grandchildren, Adam Crain (Jelena), Lauren Kittrell (Jason), Brandon Fowler (Alex), Christian Fowler (Elizabeth), Jamie Brown (Sam Bailes), Charisma Stidham, and Cameron Stidham, and 7 great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his siblings, Kay Simmons, Alice Huffman, Johnny Stidham (Jane), and Shirley McNeely.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan Crain, 3 brothers and 1 sister.

A funeral service will be held in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at 11:00am with Rev. Troy Crain officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center 1 hour prior to the funeral.

The family will be at the home of his daughter, Misty Crain 1934 Shackleburg Rd. Anderson, S.C. 29621
