Obituary for James Causey

“Causey”
James Milton Causey, 68, husband of Patricia Griffith Causey, of Anderson, died Monday, February 15, 2021 at his residence.

Born in Conway, S.C. on October 24, 1952, he was a son of the late Elbert Lane Causey and the late Cecil Agnes Hucks Causey Johnson.

He was a 1971 graduate of Conway High School. He was in the trucking industry for over 40 years. He was an owner/operator for several years and was currently driving for STI Trucking in Greer, S.C.
Causey loved traveling to his home in Cherokee, N.C. and riding his Harley-Davidson trike.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Griffith Causey, son, Chad Causey (Tina), daughter, Pamela Gaze, grandchildren, Justin Rogers, Hannah Causey, Mattison Hutchins and Logan Gaze.

He is also survived by his brother, Elbert “Buck” Causey (Linda), sister-in-law, Lucy Causey and a special father figure, James “Hop” Hopkins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lane Causey.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 18, 2021 3:00pm – 5:00pm in The Maple Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center 1621 Pearman Dairy Rd. Anderson, SC 29625.

Social distancing is to be observed. Face masks are required.
