Hoyt James Bryson, 85, of Anderson, died Sunday, February 12, 2023, at the Rainy Hospice House.
Born in Central, SC, he was a son of the late William Brant Bryson, and the late Lila Hedden Bryson.
Hoyt was a spray room operator and ultimately retired from Singer/Ryobi, after 32 years of service. He enjoyed singing, playing guitar, fishing, and watching sports, especially the Clemson Tigers. Above all he loved God, and his family.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Shelby Bryson, their daughter, Sandra Bryson Barker (Scott), along with grandchildren, Tim Barker (Katie), Danny Barker, and Brandon Barker, great grandchildren, Emily Barker (Tanner), Jake Barker, Molly (Sissy) Barker, Bryson Barker, Ansley Barker, and one great- great grandson Kason Dye. He is also survived by his siblings Paul Bryson, Maggie Harrison, and Carolyn Smith.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Gregg Bryson, and his siblings, Talmadge Bryson, and Doris Fitzgerald.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, February 15, 2023, in the mausoleum chapel at Forest Lawn Memorial Park 2609 US-29, Anderson, SC 29621. Pastor Steve Silvey will officiate.
