Obituary for Helen Trammell
Helen Norris Trammell, 98, wife of the late Rev. Albert H. Trammell, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, January 28, 2021.
Born in Greenville, SC on November 12, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Harvey Norris and the late Fannie Elizabeth Brooks Norris.
Helen was a devoted pastor’s wife, mother and grandmother. She was a longtime, faithful member of Rocky River Baptist Church in Iva, SC and was the oldest living member of the church at the time of her death.
She is survived by her son, George Trammell (Margie), her granddaughter, Joyce Stone (Rob) and her great-grandaughter, Jozie Stone.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Steve Trammell, her four brothers, and a sister.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, February 1, 2021 at 11:00am at Rocky River Baptist Church Cemetery, Flat Rock Rd. Iva, SC. Rev. Dr. Bobby Jones will officiate. The family will speak to attendees following the service. Social distancing is to be observed and face masks are required.
Those serving as honorary include, Terry and Julia Burton, Mike and Lynn Cothran, Dottie Hill, Justin Mitchell, Joe and Tammy Norwood and Roger Whitfield.
